Dr. Olvera received her doctorate degree in Developmental Psychology with an emphasis on child health from the University Houston. Dr. Olvera is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Human Performance, University of Houston. Dr. Olvera has 18 years of expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of healthy lifestyle programs that involve nutrition education, behavioral modification, and exercise components. She has received numerous awards and federal and foundation funding. Dr. Olvera is the director and administrator of BOUNCE and the BOUNCE Lite Summer Camp.
